Middle school students got donuts and an incentive party this morning in appreciation for all of their hard work on the IAR test!










Students were able to watch the Floor Hockey Championship game at the end of school today!

Here is what another student said about him: "It was a bit ago, but when all of the lights went off in the hallways at the end of the day, some people couldn't open their lockers because it was too dark. Jackson went around with his phone flashlight and helped some people open their lockers. I just thought it was really nice.”

Ms. Ganson attended a crayfish workshop at Indiana Dunes National Park sponsored by the Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant. Ms. Ganson received training and curriculum related to crayfish and invasive species along with freshwater ecosystems. She took part in water sampling in the Little Calumet River for species identification and to assess water quality.






Students in KE enjoyed an impromptu Storytime with Mrs. Sanders!


Celebrated our March Golden Lunch Ticket winners! Congratulations to all of our students who earned golden lunch tickets for showing outstanding lunch behavior! Way to go!!








Ms. Ingold's classes created salinity density towers today to learn how the amount of salt can affect our oceans!






5th graders participated in a Gallery Walk today to learn about the Holocaust.




This was the first day of frog dissection in Ms. Ganson's 7th grade life science. Students examined the external anatomy of American bullfrogs!






Fourth grade has been working hard on reader's theaters during reading class the last 2 weeks to finish up our Greek Mythology unit. Students learned a lot about cooperation and did such a fantastic job!

The 6th grade presented their Shark Tank products today!





A special thanks for Mr. Rich for being a great sport and letting the Kindergarten team tape him to the wall this morning to celebrate bringing in the most pop-tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.







Members of the GHMS Student Council delivered the collected pop tabs to the Ronald McDonald House yesterday. Thanks again for the awesome turnout. We are already prepping for next year's collection!
