Congratulations to our fearless leader in the elementary world, Mrs. Vande Schraaf, on receiving a Warrior Coin! Mrs. Vande Schraaf has changed the climate of our school by her positive attitude and open-door policy with all her staff. She makes you feel that your input is vital to the school and encourages people to approach her with any question or concern. Her kind demeanor and contagious laughter make people want to come to work. She is always one of the first people to assist and is extremely hardworking. She exemplifies leadership with her empathy, resilience, adaptability, and communication skills. We are very fortunate to have her as our principal in the elementary school.

We had a second Warrior Coin winner on Friday! Congratulations to Michelle Hand! Michelle has been a dedicated substitute teacher in our school for many years, as well as a parent and a vital member of our PTO. She is one of the most caring and humble people you will ever meet. Hard-working and selfless, she quietly comes in on weekends to make sure her students have everything they need.
Always willing to lend a hand, Michelle carries a gentle spirit and brings kindness wherever she goes. She goes above and beyond in all she does and is truly a friend to everyone she meets. We are incredibly fortunate to have her as part of our district family.
Michelle’s generosity, empathy, honesty, and compassion shine through each day. She is deeply respected by those around her and has worked tirelessly, especially over the last two years while serving as a long-term maternity sub.
