Dear Families and Members of the Community,

The dinner is free. We ask that you preregister for the event by clicking here or by calling the district office at 309-383-2121 opt. 4 and speak with Stacy Tellor so we know how much food to prepare and how much seating to arrange for. If attending, please enter through door #9.

We hope you can make it!

Get ready to pull, collect, and WIN! Poptabs are back, and our school is teaming up with the community to support the Ronald McDonald House, which helps provide care and comfort for families in need. 💛

Here’s the exciting challenge:
🔴 Community Goal: 1,000,000 poptabs
🟡 Germantown Hills School District Goal: 300,000 poptabs

But wait… there’s more! 👀 We’re going head-to-head with our cross-town rivals—Metamora Grade School, Metamora Township High School, and St. Mary’s. The school that collects the most poptabs will earn bragging rights AND a trophy! 🏆

📅 Collection runs from January 6th through May, so start saving now! Ask friends, family members, neighbors, and coworkers to save their poptabs and help us make a difference. Every poptab counts and brings us closer to supporting families through the Ronald McDonald House.

✨ Extra Fun Along the Way!
To keep the excitement going, we’ll have fun checkpoints throughout the collection period. When we hit certain goals, the ENTIRE school will earn rewards like lemonade, popcorn, and other fun treats! 🍿🥤

📍 Where to donate:

Elementary School Office

Middle School Science Classrooms

Let’s show our community spirit, support a great cause, and bring home that trophy! Thank you for helping us make a big impact—one poptab at a time. 💥

Let the collecting begin! 🙌

Happy Holidays,

Families,

I appreciate your patience while formulating a plan to replace the gameday breakfast that was scheduled to take place ahead of the girls state tournament game on Saturday! With the game being moved to tomorrow at 4:30, I'd like to offer you and your student two options.

1. We can refund the $8 for the digital ticket to your student! Tickets have not been officially purchased. My plan is to purchase these at noon tomorrow (Monday). If your student is still planning to attend the game, please understand that a digital ticket is $8 as set by IESA. If they do not have a digital ticket but still wish to attend, tickets are $10 at the door, per the IESA.

2. For those students who have turned in a permission slip and money and still wish to attend the game, we will ask that they arrive to the middle school entrance by 4 PM. This will give us time to get them checked in, get their IESA wrist band, and then get them up for the 4:30 PM tip off. I will be ordering pizza for those students! Thank you to our GHMS booster club for helping to fund this! We want to pack the student section and the JDS to support the girls basketball team!

If you have any questions about this, please contact me at krich@ghills69.com or call the middle school office tomorrow!

Thank you,
Kyle Rich
