Softball Update: Practice today has been moved to GHMS due to incoming weather. We will go over expectations and pass out uniforms from 8:30-9:30.
GHES Families — please make sure all of your information in Skyward is up to date and your registration has been approved to ensure you receive your child's "Welcome to Class" email from their teacher. These emails will be sent on Wednesday, August 6th around 3pm.
If your registration has not been submitted or is in the denied stage, you will experience a delay in receiving this important message.

Athletic registration reminder: Please register your athletes prior to the start of softball, baseball, and cross-country. They must have a current sports physical in order to tryout. Softball tryouts begin Monday, 7/28 at 9 AM at MTCO Park. Baseball and cross-country begin on Monday 8/4.
Online registration will wrap up at the close of business on Monday. Please register your child(ren) for the upcoming school year if you have not already done so. And tell your friends, family, and neighbors! #WeAreWarriors

Join us for the second Sunday Funday bags tournament to benefit the Metamora to Peoria St. Jude run! Adults and kids teams welcome-sign up today-Sunday Funday Bags Tournament Sign Up. If playing in the bags tournament isn't your thing, we will have a kids tent, food trucks, a DJ, and silent auction! Help us help the kids of St. Jude!
Please be advised: The elementary parking area starting with the blacktop by door #9 will be repaved the week of July 14-18. Please do not park or drive in this area during that time frame.
Additionally, the JDS Gym, the Commons, and the area in front of the library/district office will be closed for 2 weeks starting this Friday afternoon (July 11th thru July 27th) to redo the floors. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. \

New and returning students may access the online registration by clicking “Student Registration” on the District website. Please note that ALL families (new and returning) will need to complete the proof of residency information.
In order for us to have time to complete class assignments and schedules, it is imperative that students are registered by July 23. If you encounter any difficulties registering your child(ren), please contact the elementary or middle school offices. Summer office hours are 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Students who qualify for free lunch will have their registration fees waived. Students receiving reduced priced lunch will pay a reduced registration fee

For parents of students Kindergarten-4th grade, there will be a $60 supply fee applied during school registration. All consumable supplies will be waiting in the classroom on the 1st day of school!! You can find a list of additional supplies needed for purchase. Please contact the office if you have any questions.
Attention baseball and softball families:
Due to a scheduled tournament at MTCO Park next week, the baseball and softball open fields have been canceled for the week of 6/23. Baseball will have one tomorrow, 6/19, and pick back up on 7/1. Softball has rescheduled their open field to 7/8 from 11:30-1 PM at MTCO Park.
This past Saturday, some of the cross country team headed to Peoria to cheer at the Steamboat Classic. We even got to cheer on our very own Mrs. Poole!
Girls basketball will be hosting an open gym for girls entering 6-8th grade tomorrow in the JDS from 3:30-5 PM.
Boys baseball (for students entering 6-8 grade) will begin having open field opportunities weekly on Tuesday and Thursday from 8 AM- 10 AM at MTCO park! These will begin tomorrow, June 10th. Please reach out to coach Travis Grant at grantt@ghills69.com with any questions.

On the last day of school, our 7th graders participated in the 2nd annual Last Day of School Summer Kickball Kickoff Tournament!
