
This week Student Council members were able to campaign for Executive Board positions. They made slide shows, created posters, and videos sharing their ideas and slogans. 5th graders were also able to vote in their first election after studying government and elections. We had some close races with some strong candidates, and are excited to announce the 2024-2025 Student Council Officers: President-Emily Thelen, Vice-President - Karter Brown, Secretary-Bre Facker, and Treasurer- Olivia Stoller.

The baseball team celebrated 8th grade night at MTCO Park yesterday. Thank you for all of your hard work, 8th graders!






Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and came out to cheer on our Warriors at the cross country Warrior Invite last night. We had so much support, including our parents, the Cheer team, and our Madrigal singers. Zane Kingham, Keegan Waggoner, Leah Hohulin, Rhys Dehn, and Emerson Sanchez all medaled in their races and the Boys Varsity secured a third place trophy. Great work everyone!




Today was day #1 for the Pond Water Lab in Ms. Ganson's 7th grade Life Science classes. Students collected water samples from the small pond in our school garden, identified the microorganisms under the microscope, and assessed the water quality of the pond.








Congratulations to this week's dude.we.see.you winner, Hannah Galletti! Here is what another student wrote about her: "She is always just so nice and supportive of everyone around her in all of her classes even when she hardly knows them. She invites people to join her in groups when they have nobody to work with too." Great job, Hannah!


Cross Country travelled to Parkside for a meet on Saturday. Athletes did a great job running in the steamy September heat!





A smaller week of events this week at GHMS. Come out and support the Warriors cross country team on Tuesday evening as they host the Warrior Invite at Great Oaks at 4 PM. Come out on Thursday Night for 8th grade night for boys baseball at MTCO Park @ 4:15!


Reminder....Tomorrow (9/13) is Picture Retakes!! We will begin at 8:30 am.

This week's Warrior athletic events!


The Bradley University Cheerleaders came to the school on Saturday and spent the morning with GHMS cheer squad. They worked on stunts, cheers, and motions! The girls worked so hard and learned so much! Thank you BU Cheer for creating core memories for these girls! ❤️🤍💙🤍







Middle school students received treats for perfect attendance for the month of August today!




Art club is back every Wednesday from 2:30-3:30 for middle school students!
