The 8th grade is studying sound waves in Science class!



Cross country had their end of year bonfire last Friday night. Fun was had by all! Thank you to Great Oaks Church for hosting us.





This week at GHMS!


The annual Nets for Vets game will be played on Friday, November 8th. Approximate game times are listed on the flyer and will be played at MTHS. The spirit wear store will be open until Sunday, October 27th at midnight. All proceeds will benefit the Peoria Honor Flight!

The students who participated in the dance clinic will have their performance during half time of the 7th grade girls basketball game this evening. Please have your child wear their camp shirt if they are performing! The game will begin at 5 PM.

Congratulations to this week's dude.we.see.you winner, Nora Fandel! Here is what two other students said about her: "When one of my partners was unable to show up at the speech parent preview Nora just jumped in and spoke her lines. She totally saved us!" and "Last night our speech partner was gone, Nora had two other scripts and still offered to help." Great job, Nora! We see you!


Congratulations to the boys cross country team who placed 4th at state today!!!! Zane Kingham brought home a medal in 21st place. Way to go Warriors! We are so proud of your work this year.






Congratulations to the Hispanic Heritage Month Coloring Contest Winners! Thanks also to Senora Sturgell for creating fun activities for the students to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!!


Best of luck to our boys cross-country team and Keegan Waggoner as they take on state tomorrow at Maxwell Park in Normal! Run hard and have a blast, Warriors!

Congratulations to the cross-country program on a fantastic day at sectionals! The boys team advanced to state after winning the sectional! Keegan Waggoner qualified for the girls! They'll take on state at Maxwell Park next Saturday! Way to go, Warriors!






TONIGHT is 2nd grade night at the GHMS girls basketball game! All 2nd graders who come make sure to wear RED (house color) so you can get FREE ADMISSION 🖍️❤️🔴 (parents MUST attend with their child) Let's help cheer on our Lady Warriors as they play Dunlap! First game starts at 5pm!
*please note that elementary grade-level teachers will plan and host their own additional evening at a ball game for their particular grade! Information will be shared at a later date!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered for and attended our Fall Book Fair! We sold $13,500, which allowed us to redeem almost $4000 in books for the library, our classrooms, and our students. A special shout out to Crystal Rajtora, who did a great job running the Book Fair!

6th grade explored the phases of the moon today with station activities!

Here is what another student said about Kirby: "Kirby includes everyone and when we have to separate into groups, he never excludes anyone. He tries to get along with everyone and I just think that is something he should be recognized for." Great job, Kirby!

Congratulations to the 7th grade girls basketball team on their tough win against Canton last night. The game started off slow but the girls turned it on in the second half outscoring the Little Giants 19-7 and winning with a final score of 27-17! The Warriors were led by Brinley Nena with 10 points and Brooklyn Sauder with 6 points. 7th grade is now 3-2 on the season!
The 8th grade girls basketball team came back and won last night against Canton 26-25! The Warriors closed out the game hitting crucial free throws with only seconds on the clock to pull away for the victory. 8th grade was led by Addison Points’s 11 points and Kaedence Beck’s 6. 8th grade is now 4-1 on the season.
