As previously communicated, our existing superintendent Dan Mair will be retiring at the end of this school year. Late last year, the Board of Education initiated a superintendent executive search with a goal of finding a new superintendent who meets the key areas of emphasis collected from the survey that the board, teachers, staff, and community members completed last summer. These key areas focused on board collaboration, professional culture, financial acumen, communication skills, strategy/goal setting, and community relations.
After multiple rounds of interviews, we were able to select a new superintendent who not only meets but exceeds our expectations in the areas of emphasis noted. The board is excited to announce that Dr. Adam Brumbaugh has been selected as our new Germantown Hills School District Superintendent starting July 1, 2025.
Adam has more than 20 years of experience in education. He began as a math teacher and has held positions as a college professor, administrator, principal and superintendent. Adam has spent the last 9 years as the superintendent at West Carroll and Geneseo school districts.
Please join us in welcoming Adam to the district this summer. Also, if you see Dan while in the school, please do extend a thank you for his 13 fantastic years of service to the district. Through his tenure he has elevated our school district to one of the highest performing schools in the state. Based on our District's current exemplary status and Adam’s experience and leadership skills, the board is very confident we will continue to advance the high levels of education our district expects going forward.
