On November 11, 2024, the Germantown Hills School District Board of Education approved the tentative 2024 property tax levy.
Here are a few highlights from the tentative levy:
The overall 2024 levy extension including bond & interest is $5,221,198, which is $6,170 less than the 2023 levy.
The estimated tax rate in 2025 will be $2.60 per $100 of assessed property value. This is down from $2.84 this year and $3.36 ten years ago.
While property values in Germantown Hills School District have risen over 26% in the last three years, actual property taxes paid to the District have remained flat.
The Board of Education is continuing it's commitment of using the vast majority of County School Facilities Sales Tax revenue to abate the bond & interest levy.
Abatement allows the District to capture much needed additional revenue in the operating funds while not increases property taxes.
