gold apple

It's that time of year again!!

Dr. Seuss once said,

“I like nonsense; it wakes up the brain cells.

Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living.

It’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope.

Which is what I do,

And that enables you to laugh at life’s realities.”

This statement pretty much summed up the way Sabrina Page viewed life.  Sabrina taught in the Germantown Hills School District from 1991 to 2011.  Tragically, Sabrina passed from brain cancer on September 28, 2011.  While never taking herself too seriously, she exemplified what an excellent educator should aspire to be. She was loved and respected by her colleagues and students alike. The Sabrina Page Golden Apple Award is a way for us to remember Sabrina’s legacy while recognizing the tremendous qualities of our current school district staff.

We have many great staff members here at Germantown Hills!  Do you know one who deserves special recognition this year?  We want to recognize staff who inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn, have the respect and admiration of students, parents, colleagues, and the community as a whole, and who have a clear understanding of their curriculum, practices, and educational beliefs.

Please take a moment to nominate a person who you think deserves recognition for all his/her hard work and effort this year.  You may nominate a teacher online by clicking the link below.  Nominations will be accepted until Friday, April 26, 2024.  If you have any questions, please contact Michelle DuBois at mdubois@wcsea.us.
